English
The English Department offers English Language Arts courses from grades 8-12 and English First Peoples’ courses from grades 10-12. The English and English First Peoples’ curriculum fosters the development of critical and creative skills, contributing towards student development of becoming educated and engaged citizens. Through the study of literature, print and digital, students will engage in a variety of learning experiences that support the exploration of text and story, how language shapes ideas, engagement with writing processes, worldviews and perspectives, and how First Peoples’ voices and texts play a role within the processes of Reconciliation.
