YWCA Volunteer Opportunity - Seeking High School Ambassadors
Guide to Highschool aims to support Grade 7s in their transition to high school by discussing topics like friendship, stress management, resisting peer pressure, and dealing with bullies.
As part of our program, we have dedicated volunteer positions for high school students (Grade 10-12) to act as mentors and share their experiences at Salish.
High School Ambassadors can:
· Complete 30 volunteer hours for graduation
· Get a Certification in Inclusive Leadership & Facilitation
· Get work experience in education, non-profit, social justice and facilitation.
· Develop skills like public speaking, teamwork, and group management
· Meet new people and become a youth leader
